Ms. Coleman focuses her practice on civil defense litigation. She has experience defending medical malpractice claims against hospitals, nursing homes, physicians, and other healthcare providers in the metro Detroit area. She also has experience defending first and third party Michigan No-Fault claims and property insurance claims involving suspected fraud.
She obtained her undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo, after which she worked as a newspaper reporter for several publications in Western New York. She earned her J.D. from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School, where she graduated in the top three percent of her class. She was an associate editor of the Thomas M. Cooley Law Review and a semi-finalist in the Region Six National Client Counseling Competition. She is admitted to practice in the Michigan and New York courts, as well as the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan.
In her free time, Ms. Coleman volunteers at Common Ground’s Legal Aid Clinic in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.
