Mr. Johnson, Jr. obtained his undergraduate degree from Wayne State University, and obtained his J.D. from the Detroit College of Law. He is a founding partner of the firm, and is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Michigan and the Federal Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in the Michigan courts, the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan, and the United States Court of Appeals for Sixth Circuit. Mr. Johnson has decades of litigation experience, including numerous trials in both the State of Michigan and Federal courts. His practice focuses on commercial litigation, including property insurance law, subrogation litigation, no fault coverages, bad faith exposure and cases of suspected arson and fraud. Mr. Johnson is an experienced mediator and arbitrator. He has successfully resolved significant commercial cases, as well as property insurance disputes. He has written and lectured extensively on property insurance law, including arson, fraud, mortgagee issues, proofs of loss, interest under the Uniform Trade Practices Act, and trial strategy.
